Sightseer

Characters in Sightseer are travellers in a fantasy world. They will be travelling between settlements constantly, protecting precious cargo from bandits, delivering urgent messages to far away places, locating ancient ruins lost in the wilderness, following dry rivers to free a blockade and chasing criminals where the law can't reach.

While combat is still a part of the game, the focus is put on exploration, and as such, people should put thought into the decisions they make while travelling. The risks for travelling may not be immediately deadly, but they will make players regret their carelessness. Even the best of warriors, undefeated in combat, can perish to a landslide breaking their ankle in the middle of the wilderness.

Sightseer is a game about the journey, not the destination. The game expects you to spend most of your time making decisions about what route to take, how to recover from unlucky situations and how to manage your resources. While you can certainly introduce storytelling elements to your campaign, the game doesn't expect you to and won't take them into consideration.
